Simple Tips for How to Plan a Wedding
It seems that most young brides who are trying to plan their weddings don’t really know what they are doing. Not only are brides everywhere planning the most important day of their lives with little to no party planning experience, but they are also doing it with a huge amount of money. So if you are wondering how to plan a wedding and aren’t quite sure even where to start, then join the club. Many brides are confused when they start looking into everything that goes into planning a wedding. I remember how difficult it was to learn how to plan a wedding myself, with so many vendors and things to keep track of. So when I was considering how to plan wedding, I started off in the wrong place, and made some decisions I wish today I could go back and change. Here are a few of the choices I wish I could do over again the right way.
Starting to Plan – How to Plan a Wedding
Most brides start planning their weddings in the same wrong place that I did, which is to immediately go and start talking to vendors and putting deposits on reception venues and other locations. Turns out, that is a classic mistake that nearly all brides fall into when they start planning their wedding. So instead of doing what most new brides do, come up with your game plan of a wedding budget and rough guest list. Starting here may be tedious, but it’s so important. Find out who is planning to contribute what towards your wedding, and then allot for the different things you want in your wedding. Compiling a rough guest list is so that you can understand just how many people could be going to your wedding. So, it’s pointless and a money waster if you put a deposit on a reception and ceremony venues that hold 500 if you only have 150 on the guest list. It only makes sense for you to settle down and create a game plan for your wedding planning before spending anything.
How to Plan Wedding – Without Overspending
Another thing that brides need to worry about is dealing with the right kinds of wedding vendors. There are manyvendors out there who assume that they can overcharge for their services simply because they’re working for a wedding. The fact is, some vendors know that most brides have never planned a wedding before and don’t know how much their services should cost. So do your research.
Whatever you do, don’t get discouraged. Learn to negotiate for the best prices, and where to go to find better prices if the wedding vendors in your town won’t work with you. It’s not impossible to have your dream wedding on a small budget if you know where to look.
